East Central assistant coach Scott Hines said. "It feels good to come out strong after struggling in our last game." The Warriors improved to 17- 12 after the sweep and will next host Hinds Saturday in a dou– bleheader with action starting at 1 p.m. "We just didn't execute well," Mary Holmes head coach James Crawford said. "We lost our momentum early and couldn't catch up." Ma r y Holmes fell to 5-15

behind the sweep and must trav– el to Southwest Tuesday .find Wednesday with action starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Wednesday. 8 ECCC 15, Mary Holmes 1: The Warriors fell behind 1-0 after the first inning on a Chad Avdion home run but rallied to an 11-1 lead, capped off by a towering grand slam by Brandon Gray. Mary Holmes didn't help its cause by walking four batters in the fourth inning with the bases loaded. Eagles pitcher Quincy Davis loaded the bases in the fourth and couldn't get out of the jam in time as Gray stepped to the plate and belted the first pitch over the fence for the grand

slam. Brooks Bryan kept the Eagles in check for three innings after givmg up the leadoff homer. Bryan (2-0) gave up two hits in four innings of work, and gave reliever Mike Hammack an easy 11-1 lead to work with as he secured the victory with two scoreless innings. The Warriors added four runs in the fifth to seal the Eagles' fate and complete the sweep. "It was a good victory becau!Se it allowed us to pl1ly everybody." Hines said. "It w.ls a good win for us." ~ "We played well but had one lousy inning," Crawford said. Gray led the East Central offense by going~ :3-for-3 with three RBI.

LOUISVILLE - H was clear dominatio n for East Centr al Commun•ty College Thursday night as the Wurriors trounced Mary llolmcs 11-1 and 15-1 to complete n HW<'cf of the Eagles. Enst C<•ntr a con trolled the first game from the start and claimed the 10-run rule on Mary I Iolmes in the sixth inning The Warriors had five multi– ple hitters, led by Micheal Petyak who went 3-for-3 with two RBI. Mary Holmes pitcher Chris Williams (2-3) was stung for eight hits and seven runs as East Central pounded its way to a 7-0 lead after five innings.
