WEEK OF
ECCC By .Jarrod McDaniel The Meridian Sta• DECATUR - East Central continued a recent habit la;;t Thursday night when they played Gulf Coast. So far this year t h e Warriors have made a bad habit of giving their oppo– nents head starts to begin the games, this leaves the Warriors in the tough posi– tion of having to have to play catch up for the rest of the game. For example, last week the Warriors gave up a quick touchdown to start the game and had spotted Northwest Community College a 14-0 lead ~oing into halftime. The Warnors played well in the second half but couldn't over– come the halftime deficit and lost to the Rangers by the final of26-16. The Warriors did the same against Gulf Coast Community College on Thursday night, giving the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before eventual– ly falling 28-12 for their fourth straight loss this year. "We have two main prob– lems: We get points scored on us too quick and we fum– ble the ball too much," East Central head coach Reese Bridgeman said. "We didn't play well the whole game except for the third quarter. ..We need to play without mistakes, We came out flat to start the game."
