ECCC gets win over Southwest The East Central Community College Warriors picked up their ftrst win of the season Thursday night in Summitt, knocking off homestandmg Southwest Communtty College by a score of 38-20. The Warriors. who have made big tmprovements over the past few weeks, coach Reese Bridgman said, improved to 1-8 on the year ECCC's last game is at East Mississtppi in Scooba on Nov. 5. Southwest led 7-6 after the ftrst quarter, but ECCC carried a 21 -14 lead into the lockeroom at the half. The Bears still trailed just 28-20 heading into the final period, where the Warriors scored 10 unanswered points - including a 42-yard field goal by Peyton Weems - to natl down the vtctory.
