Sammy Pace, who gUided the East Central Community College women's basketball team to its first-ever Region 23 championship and a seventh-place finish in the NJCAA national tournament, has been selected Outstanding Region 23 Women's Coach ior 1993-94. ECCC went 28-7 this past year. Pace has a nine-year record of 143-84 at ECCC. His reams at Hickory. Scott Cen– tral, and Sebastopol had a combined record of 134·57.
