ECCC Student, Instructor Honored... Receiving special recognition by the Mississippi Legislature during the annual HEADWAE (Higher Education Appreciation Day -Working for Academic Excellence) was East Central Community College sophomore Cindy Callahan (seated center) of Forest and biological sciences instructor Ron Davis (standing at left) of Decatur, selected East Central's outstanding student and instructor, respectively, for 1993-94. Callahan. a math major and President's List scholar, is seated next to her p_arents, Patty and Leroy Callahan of Forest. Cindy is a graduate of Scott Central High School. Davis, a former ECCC Academic Instructor of the Year, has served seven years on the East Central staff. Stan– ding next to Davis are Representatives R.L. "Dick" Livingston of Pulaski and Raymond Com– ans of Decatur. The ECCC honorees were recognized along with other representatives of the state's public and private-colleges and universities at a special luncheon hosted by state lawmakers.
