EC women upset Pearl

ranked lOth in the nation prior to the division matchup. East Central, which improved to 10-1 overall and 3-1 in South action, could find itself listed in the next NJCAA poll, replacing PRC which dropped to 9-2 and 3-1. The Lady Warriors were ranked 24th prior to their 71-63 loss at Co-Lin on Dec. 1. Also havmg another out– standing pe rformance fo r Sammy Pace's Lady Warriors was sophomore Monica Davis of Banks, Ark., who had 19 points. River

Davis recently signed a national letter-of-intent with the University of Arkansas in Monticello. The ECCC women led 47-32 at halftime. In men's action, East Central was outscored 83-69 by the visiting Wildcats. The Warriors, who fell to- 5-8 and 0-4, were led in scoring by Milton Hillie's 19-point perfor– mance. Other point makers were Philip Prmce . 14 and Darvis Rasberry, 11. Pearl River led 45-29 at

halftime.

Both EC squads have concluded '94 competition and wHl resume action following the Christmas break by hosting an invitational tournament Jan. 6- 7.
