Freshman Gwen Smith converted a three-point play and then converted a steal into a fast-break layup capping that run. EMCC led 38-30 at the break before Mary Holmes utilized a 14-0 run to grab a six-point lead. The teams were tied five times from the 10- minute mark to the 5-minute mark. Two free throws by Smith and two more by Jennifer Lee helped seal the win for the hosts.
