Johnson gets UMC Nursing Scholarship James Bradley Johnson of Lena has been selected by the Student Affairs Committee of the University of Mississippi School of Nursing to receive a scholarship from the SDS grant. The scholarship was set up in order to honor those stu– dents who excel in the practice of professional nursing. James, a graduate oi Carthage High School and East Central Community College, credits his achievements toward hardwork, study, and diligent educators. He is actively involved in the community by volunteering his time as an Emergency Medical Technician for Ludlow Fire Department. He will graduate from UMC in December of 1994, and plans to pursue a specialist degree in cardiovascular surgery. James is the son of Bobbie Johnson of Lena and Charlie Johnson of Canton. His grand– parents are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Freeny of Lena and Mr. anii Mrs. Rolph Johnson of Lena.
