Garment class elps develop total person' Preparing students for the work– ingworld is the main objective of the commercial garment class offered at the Philadelphia-Neshoba Coun– ty Vocational Center. The course is designed to prepare students for in– itial employment, re-train those needing new skills and assist workers in increasing proficiency in employment, according to instruc– tor Melvie Culberson.

Culberson said the commercial garment class is an organized educational program which pro– vides occupational training in an at– mosphere similar to area industries. "The purpose of the program is to develop the total person intellectual– ly, sociaJly, emotionaJly and physically, thus fully preparing students for the work force.
