ECCC Scholars Bowl Team Above are members of the East Central Community College Scholars Bowl Team who will challenge other community/junior college students at the annual statewide competition scheduled February 15-16, 1991 at the University of Mississippi. Students on the East Central team are chosen based on their grade point average, ACT score and campus competition . Team members include, seated from left, Bethany Brantley, Carthage; Mary Cay Clark, Chunky; Jim Holder, Union; Ab Germany, Decatur; and Jeff Hitt (alternate), Union. Dr. Shelby Harris serves as advisor. Committee members include Harris , Dr. Richard Ethridge, Ovid Vickers and Dr. Jeff Smith. East Central has twice won the Scholars Bowl competition which has been held on the Ole Miss campus since 1985. (EC Photo)
