White Receives ECCC Scholarship
:-.;eshoba Central high school senior Brandy White bas received several scholarships to attend East Central Community College in Decatur. announced Dr. Eddie M. Smith, college president. Brandy, who will enroll in East Central next fall, has received numerous honors at Nesboba Cen– tral where she currently serves as President of the Student Body and Beta Club, of which she has been a member for four years. She has also been named outstan– ding history student for two years and twice she was chosen as a History Quiz Bowl participant. She is the recipient of the National Achievement Award in History. A class beauty, Brandy has been selected to WHO'S WHO AMONG AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS for two consecutive years. She was chosen to attend the National Youth Leadership Senate in Washington during 1989 and served the Neshoba County district as youth counselor at the 1989 Farm Bureau Safety Seminar Camp. Brandy bas been a cheerleader for two years and served as homeroom a nd class officer. She bas

also been a student council member for two years. She is the daughter of Buddy and Cathy White and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. E . R. Pope and MI: and Mrs. Nelson White, Sr. Brandy has a brother, Sam. Following her graduation from East Central, Brandy plans to pur– s ue a degree in nursing at the University of SoutbemMississippi.
