The 8-10 Lady Lions of EMCC have a homecom– ing for four of their players when they face Nor– thwest (Ala.) at New Hope High School at Colum– bus Tuesday. Necole Ellis, Kim Derden, Donna Col– eman, and Trina Shelton all prepped at New Hope. EMCC's teams go to Coahoma for a North Divi– sion doubleheader Thursday. Meridian's Eagles (5-12) head to Louisiana to face Bossier Parrish's Cavaliers tonight in In– dependent League action. Both the Eagles and Lady Eagles go to West Point to take on Mary Holmes Thursday in league contests. The game with Mary Holmes is especially important to the Lady Eagles. The two contests with MHC this season will determine which women's team represents the Independent League in the Region 23 Tournament. MCC's teams return home to host Selma (Ala.) m a Saturday twinbill. MCC scored a convincing sweep at Selma last week. Clarke's Panthers also go to 11-5 Southwest Thursday for a men's game. They return home on Saturday to host Natchez in an Independent League contest.
