ECCC offers scholarships for fall '90 art students
pen and ink, pastel, oil, acrylic or water color and enroll as a full– time student at East Central. Mr. Guraedy said all 10 works must be submitted to the col– lege's art department no later than 5 p.m. on March 29. He said those receiving scholarships will be selected by the fine arts facul– ty and will be notified by mail. He said those chosen must main– tain an overall grade point average of 2.0 with a 3.0 average maintained in art course work. The instruc tor added tha t scholarship recipients must also design various images for col– lege publications. Art scholarships for outstan– di ng area high school art students have been approved at East Central Community College in Decatur. These scholarships will be of– fered beginning with the '90 fall term, said Dr. Eddie M. Smith, college president. Dr. Smith said the college's art department, headed by Bruce Guraedy, is offering two $1,300 scholarships to talented district seniors beginning next fall.
