"We couldn't move the ball well because they were constantly switching their defense " coach Josh Butler of Southwest satd. "We kept trying to set screens and set up shots, but instead we would turn the ball over," he added. Southwest was unable to get any sort of rally going, as the most points they scored in a row at any time was six. The Lady Wariors, however, quickly dash· ed any h\lpes of a rally by scoring eight in a row. ECCC was led in scoring by Tuttle Edwards with 15, Sadie Triplett with 13, and Jackie Gladney with 12. " I was concerned because of the long layoff (since Dec. 7), but we worked better as a team than we have aU year long,'' coach Pace said. "Southwest had played two games since the break and I thought they would be better prepared than they were." The Lady Warriors came out in a ferocious defense, that kept the Lady Bears from scoring for almost ten minutes. In fact .the Lady Bears did not break mto double figures until fifteen minutes bad elapsed in the first half. At that poin~ they trailed 29-11 and by half time the score was4H7. On the offensive end of the court the Lady Warriors seemed to be able to score at will, as they easily came down the court and -·
