Holmes ended Its season at 3-7 overall, 1-5 in the North Division. • EAST CENTRAL 31, NORTH– EAST 14: Up in Booneville, East Central jumped out to a 17-0 le3d in its win over Northeast. The Warriors got a 20-yard fi eld goal from Pete Porter and a 39-yard touchdown run from quarterback Lamont Byrd in the first quarter. Fullback Anthony Walker made it 17-0 with a 14-yard rumble on fourth-and -1 with 10:55 left in t.he first half. Northeast (2-7-1) got on the scoreboard with a touchdown in the second period. The Warri ors put their lead back at 17 on an 11-yard pass from Byrd to Ken Coleman before intermission. Sammie Holifield got the War– riors ' f ina l touchdown on a 24-yard run m the fourth quarter. Northeast also added a final period touchdown. East Central finished tts season at4:-6 and fifth in the MJCA South Division at 2-4.
