IJUCOS I Central drove 66 yards, capping the drive with a 3-yard run by Wil– lie McClelland. Pete Porter's point after gave Warriors a 14-7 lead. East Central's final touchdown came on a 2-yard run by quarter– back Lamont Byrd with 12:55 to go in the game. Porter agam added the point after.

ECCC improved to 2-3 in South dJvision play and 3-5 overall, while Southwest fen to 0-5 in the divi– ~ion and 0-7 overall. The Warriors won the game on defense, holding lbe Bears to 88 vard5; mc;hing and 9.9 passing. Southwest opcnea me scoring in the first quarter. Laking the opening kickoff and driving 68 yards, scor– ing on Sam Butler 's 16-yard run. Doug Mixon added the point after and Southwest led 7-0. That lead however, didn't hold as Warrior strong safety inter– cepted a pass and ran 1t back 19 yardsfor a touchdown. Pete Poner added the point after and East Cen– tral tied the game at 7. Tite game remained knotted un– til midway through the third quar– ter when Michael Hathorn recov– ered n Bears ' fumble that put the \Varrior offense in business. East
