"We really expect him to play running back," Kilpatrick said of the 6-foot , 175-pound McClelland, who was a two-way starter for Bob Wilson's Rebels. "Of course we've got Sammie McClelland scored 86 points his senior year for the BHHS Rebels. As a junior, he rushed for 1,290 yards and had 10 touchdowns and 72 points. He had two games of over 200 yards rushing as a junior, including a 256-yard ef– fort against Edinburg. McClelland was twice named to a Meridian Star area team. He also won the South State 100-meter dash in 10.8 seconds last spring. His sophomore year, McClelland scored 75 points, including 'n in a 69-28 win over Clarkdale.
