Draf– ting and Design Technology inl>truc– tor. from 10 months to 11 months an 1990-91 so he can pro\'ide uss1stance in implementing the college's new technical programs In the area of Instruction, Dr Tucker reported on se\'era l items in– cluding the 1990 faU semester cla!>s schedule and new laborator} organizallon of the :Metal Fabrkalion Technology Program, Precision Machining Technology Program, Automated Manufacturing Technology Program and l\lasonry Program. He also provided informa– tion concerning final approval of the coUege's response to the Vocational Technical F1ve-Year Evaluation Report and Recommendation, and final approval of the Business Com puter Applications Program for the Ph i ladelph1a-Neshobce Cou n ty Vocational-Technical Center. Dr . Tucker further reported on enrollment information concerning the 1990 summer session He s:ud '113 students are enrolled dunng the fi N;t term with classes being offered in Decatur, Ca rthage , For est, Louisville Philadelphia and the Choc– taw Resenation In other matters pertaming to Budget and Finance, Business ~tanager Han:e)' Trapp reported on the effectiveness of the ARA Cost Con· tainment Pla} and it wa re"ealed that revenes are expected to exceed expenditures by an amount of $729.29 at the close of FY90. The Board gave approval of the bid and resolution as proposed by Bank of
Decatur for the college's Shared Funds Account Banking S)stem eftt><.·· hve June 12. 1990 and contmwng for a penod ot one year from said date. The Board accepted bitls Cor the following: 1990-91 Yearbook, Tally Student Services of Forest and School photos for 1990-91, Creative Images of Newton Trustees also ga\'e approval to advertise bids for the following: <1 athletic insurance coverage 121 prin ling of student newspaper (3 ) printing or alhlelic program 14) printing of alumni magazine (5) chartered bu:. transportation for 1990-91 football season (6) new 1990 bus and <7> fur– nishing for the first floor of Winston Hall Emergency repair of the air conditioning system for the Cross Hall Science Building and also approved a were excessive medical expenses for sevet·al athletes mjured while par ticipating in their respeclJve sports The Board also received updated in formation concerning W1nston HaU Renovatoin P roject, Cross BUilding Renovation Project and U1t> College's Capital Improvemenll> Pro– jects to be funded through Senate Bill 3192.
