State at 4 p.m. and ECCC hosting Jack on State at 8. In Saturday's women's games, EMCC takes on Jackson State at 2 p.m ., wh ile ECCC meets Gulf Coast at 6. Saturday's men 's games have EMCC facing Jackson State at4 p.m., while ECCC hosts Faulkner State at8. ECCC's Lady Warriors and Warriors arc both 2-0. Doris Smith 's Lady Bulldogs of Gu lf Coast opened their season Tuesday at Pensacola (Fla.) and then fell to Clarke 83-72 Thursday night. Smith has only one return– ing player, 5-foot-10 Angel Foster of D'Iberville. She has a pair of 6-foot freshmen in Monique Bur– roughs and Tawanna Frison, both from Mobile, Ala. The Jackson State women could be a team to reckon with. They split a pair of games with 24-6 MJCA state champion Northeast a year ago. Jackson State won 66-62 at Jackson, Tenn., then lost 74-56 at Booneville. Northeast was 2-0 against EMCC and 1-0 against ECCC. Jackson opened its 1990-91 season against Wallace (Ala .) State Tuesday.
