The Warriors rallied from a 15-point first half deficit but their efforts fell just short as they were edged by the Mary Holmes men 71-69 and suffered their fourth loss on the young season. In games this week, EC squads will journey to Holmes Community College in Goodman on Thursday, Nov. 16 and will host EastMississip– pi teams Saturday, Nov. 18. Game times are 6:00 and 7:45. The War– riors will participate in a tournament at Jones Junior College scheduled Nov. 20-21. Under fifth-year coach Sammy Pace, the EC women have posted victories over Selma University (85-53), Concordia (93-29). East 1\-tississippi (80-76), Lawson State (103-94) and Mary Holmes (71-69). In the Lady Warriors' win over Mary Holmes, Tuttie Edwards was the leading scorer as she pumped in 20 points. Other EC pointmakers were Sadie Triplet, 16; Carol Boat– man, 12; Shea Oakley and Paula Nash, each with 10 points; Lisa Ste– phens, nine; Shontel Lowe,eight; Kathy McDougle, seven; Beverly Ware, six; Ashley Harkins, five; Kristy Holland, Victoria Banks, Tonya Stowers and Marcell Gray, four each. Tyrone Bender and Kelvin Young paced the Warriors in scoring against Mary Holmes as they each tallied 14 poiniS.
