Miss Woodis reelected as Region23 Director of theNJCCA Miss Lucille Wood, physical education-education instructor at East Central Community College, has been reelected to another two-year term as Director of Women's Sports for Region 23 of the National Junior Col– lege Athletic Association. Miss Wood, who recently attended the NJCCA meeting held in Charlotte, North Carolina, will begin her new term on August 1, 1989. The United States is divided into 24 regions with Colorado Springs, Col– orado designated as national head– quarters. the NJCCA organization IS responsible for makmg all rules for j unior college athletics. On the Regton 23 level, Miss Wood's duues mclude making deci– stons on ehgibtlity, awards and tour– naments, All-Region and Ali– Amencan nommations, and other matters of concern as set forth by the national office. The East Central instructor serves on two national committees: track and field (women's division) and All– American (men and women's divi– sion). She is also chairman of the slowpitch softball dtvision and served as NJCAA representative to the Na– tional Women's Softball Tournament held May 5-7 at Wallace State Com– muntty College tn Ha ncev ille, Alabama.
