ECCC Golfers Compete at Hinds College

EC Golfers Place Fourth at Jones Kevin Bounds of Newton carded a 77 and led East Central Communi– ty College to a fourth place finish . to.w:nament action held April 3 ~~ Dlx~e Golf Course in Laurel Jones Juruor College served as tourna– ment host.

Three East Central CommunitY College golfers carded scores in the 70's as the Warrior team placed fourth during tournament action held April 13 at Hinds Community College. B. J. Bailey of Louisville led East Central with a 75, followed by Winston Academy's Sean Curry who shot 76 and Kevin Bounds of Newton who carded a 70. Other Warrior linksters included Scottie McLaren of Griffin, Georgia, 82; and John Lockett of Newton who shot an 84. The East Central team registered a 312 in the 18-hold match, won by Northwest which shot 282. Other community colleges participating included Hinds (300) , Copiah· Lincoln (309), Gulf Coast (313) , and Southwest (317). The East Central team is coach· ed by Joe Clark.
