Other first teamers were quarterback Dexter Roulhac (1,469 yards passing), center Mark Lowe, defensive linemen J ames Da vis a nd Michael Williams, and defensive back Victor Green of Co-Lin; fullback Tracy Minniefield (706 yards, 12 TDs), guard Britt Eads, linebacker Rufus Bester (86 tackles, 15 sacks), and defensive back Willie Richards of Hinds; wide receiver Curt DeLee ( 48 catches, 661 yards), offensive tackle Bo Milton, and defensive backGreg Johnson of Southwest ; tight end Eric Mizell, defensive linema n Eric Drake, and linebacker Ricky Alexander of Gulf Coast; and guard Jason Dugas and defensive lineman Chris Lacoste of Pearl River. Second-team picks from Jones were tight end Oscar Bunch (24-578, 7 TDs) and linebacker Anthony Parnell (72 tackles). Also on the second-team offen– sive are running back Michael Toefield (1,3()7 yards, 13 TDs), guard Joel Ford, offensive tackle Chris Watts, punter Malter Scobel of Pearl River; quarter– back Dan Gaddis (70 of 156, 1,030 yards, 7 TDs), offensive tackle Steve Smith, defensive linemen J ames Robinson and John Copeland, linebacker Michael Rose, and defensive back James Shoulders of Hinds; r unning back Shun Bridges, wide r eceiver Dejuan Singleton , center Larry McLemore, kicker Paige Herring, defensive linemen Clarence Wheeler and Cedric Tobias, and defensive back Gregg Br iggs of Co-Lin ; quarterback David Dt-vis and defensive lineman Warr n Jones of Gulf Coast. East Central's Darnell Brown, Ronnie Williamson, and Lamont Byrd have been chosen as All– Staters for the 1989 football season. The Warrior trio are three members of the 24 piarers chosen to the Miss tsstppi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-State South Division first team. Brown, a Decatur native, rush– ed for 421 yards on 88 carries, scoring five touchdowns in the process. His longest run was a 85-yarder for a touchdown against South Division champ Copiah-Lincoln. Williamson, who prepped at Nanih Waiya, was credited with 49 tackles (34 solo) . He was a constant threat to opposing quarterbacks from his defensive end position. He also handled the Warriors' placekicking chores, making 16 of 21 extra points and 2 of 3 field goals. Byrd, one of only two freshman picked for first-team honors, averaged 39.4 yards on 55 punts with a long kick of 60 yards. As the ECCC quarterback, Byrd passed for 513 yards and rushed for 422. His 32 points was the team high.
