Gains Yardage Warrior running back Sammie Holifield (8) bursts tbrougb tbe Northeast Community College defense for a sizeable gain during East Central's 13-7 loss to tbe visiting Tigers Thursday night. Holifield, who rushed for over 2,000 yards in leading the Lake Hornets to the state Class 2A crown last season, ran for 72 yards oo 14 carries during his first college contest. East Central will travel to Holmes Community College fo r anothet Thursday night battle wbicb is scheduled September 7 on the Goodman campus. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
