EC has ten football games on 1989 slate Four Thursday night games and six Saturday contests comprise the 1989 football season schedule at East Cen– tral Community College, announced Coach A.J . Kilpatrick, athletic coordinator-head football coach. Coach Kilpatrick said the Warrior<> begin the 1989 campaign by ho~ting Northeast Mississippi Communi!} College at 7:30 p.m. Thursda>, August 31. Kilpatrick said the annual homecoming battle will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 14 wtth the WarriQrs entertaining the Pearl Rher Community College Wildcats. The complete schedule is as follows: August 31 (Thursday), Northeast, home, 7:30; Sept. 7 (Thursday), Holmes, at Goodman, 7:30; Sept. 16 (Saturday), Copiah-Lincoln, home, 7:30; Sept. 23 (Saturday), Gulf Coast at Biloxi, 7:00; Sept. 30 (Saturday): East Mississippi, at Scooba, 2:00; Oct. 7 (Saurday) Hinds, home, 7:30; Oct. 14 (Saturday) Pearl River homecom– ing, 2:30; Oct. 21 (Saturday) Jones at Ellisville, 2:00; Oct. 26 (Th~rsda>): Southwest, at Summit, 7:30; and , Nov. 2 (Thursday), Delta, home, 7:00 As~JSilng Kilpatrick are ~.:oachcs Ton} Triplett and J ohn Russell.
Signs with East Central Wendell Whitehead, a S-8, 170-pound outfielder for Newton High School bas signed a scholarship to play baseball for E~st C~ntral Community College and Coach Jamie Clark.
