Warriorettes win two, EGJC men add one

In the second game of the night, Hinds dropped a 75-66 defeat on the Warriors. Mike Mills of Helen, AK put 25 points on the board for ECJC follow– ed by Griffith with 14 poinfs, and Ron– nie Bender of Louisville with 12 points. High scorers for Hinds were Roben Ben– dolph with 27 points, Alray Lewis with 15 points, Alvin Morris with 14 points, and Lawson Veal with 12 points. On January 24 the Warriors and War– riorettes traveled to Utica Junior Col– lege. The Warriorettes held out a 45-41 halftime lead but were defeated in the end 87-77. High scorers for East Cen– tral were Eichelberger with 30 points, Miller with 18 points, and Bowie with 14 points. High scorers for Utica were Beulah Leggens with 41 points, Rochelle Henderson with 14 points, Pam Allen with 13 points, and Linda Lee with II points. In men's action, the Warriors picked up their win as they led at the half 25-24 and went on to defeat Utica 57-54. High scorers for East Central were Morgan with 17 points, Griffith with 12 points, and Mills with II points. High scorers for Utica were Mike White with 15 points and Jamie Johnson with 10 points.
The East Central Junior College War– riorettes have added two more wins to their record and the Warriors have add– ed one. On January 18 the Warrioreues and Warriors took on Holmes Junior College on the ECJC campus. With a halftime score of 57-33 in the Warrioret– tes favor, they went on to blast Holmes with a 105-67 win. Joy Eichelberger of Louisville put 37 points on the board for East Central followed by Karen Miller of Louisville with 22 points, Beverly Chambers of Lena (granduate of Mor– ton High School) with 16 points, and Beverly Bowie of Lena (a graduate of Morton High School) with 14 points. High scorers for Holmes were Barbara Haris with 32 points, Debbie Doublas with 13 points, and Corine Dent with 11 points . In the men's game, with a tied halftime score of 30-30, the Warriors were defeated by Holmes in the end 75-56. Ricky Griffith of Ashland, KY led the Warriors with 16 points, followed by Kenny Morgan of Morton with I3 points, and Drew Garvin of Wurtland, KY with II points. High scorers for Holmes were Johnny James with 28 points and James Lehaman -with 14 points. On January 21 Hinds Junior College met with defeat as the Warriorettes led at the half S 1-30 and went on to win the game 90-83. Miller and Chambers led ECJC with 22 points, followed by
