Holmes Bulldogs defeat ECJC Warriors

The score "as EC 8, Bulldogs 7 With 1:55 left in the first half the Bulldogs forced the Wamors to kick and Paul Bennett returned the ball for a 55 yard touchdown J ackson's extra point was good and at half time found the Bulldogs leading the Warriors 14-8. The Bulldogs controlled the second– half Scoring for the BuJJdogs came when Bennett camed for a 30 yard touchdown and Ja,.kson boots the ex– tra pomt Score 21 Bulldgos, Warriors 8. East Central penetrated to the five yard line before being stopped with 2·11 left in the third quarter. Holmes quarterback Tommy Wasden and the running of Bennett moved the ball from the Bulldog 45 vard hne to the Warrior 6 where the \.varnor deff'nse held and on fourth down found Jackson attempting a field goal. The Warnors take over and a David Pleasant pass was intercepted by Bulldog Andrew Smith with 1:29 left in the ball game and on first play quarterback Wasden keeps for the 40 vard touchdown. · Thf' extra point by Jackson put the Bulldogs on the score board with a srort> of 29 and the Wa rriors ll.
