ents sign sc 1ps 'I_'wo outstahding performers for the Lake High School Hornets have signed Grant-In-Aid Basketbd Scholarships with East Central Junior College in Decatur. David Lott and Rodney M~rell, who helped lead Coach Burney Kirkland's Hornets to 23 wins this past season, will play for Coach Larry Gressett's.Warriqrs this fatt. Gressett stated that "David and Rodney are both fine young men, good students, and excellent athletes-: 1 am very pl~atthat they have decided to p.ttend East Central." Lott average 15 points per game as a guard this past season and was an All-Conference and All– l>lstrict player . He was chosen as the Best All Around Boy at Lake High School, was a member of the Beta Club and was in the Top Ten of his graduating class. Murrell, also a guard, averaged 14.5 points per game and was an All-Conference and AU-District selection in both his junior and senior years. He was chosen Most Valuable Player on this year's Hornet team and was also selected as the Most Athletic Boy at Lake High School.
