East Central women pick up two wins this week

women won m overtime 72-71. Again Joy Eichelberger was held below her average of 26.9. She finished the game with 17 points Beverly Chambers of Morton p ·k• ~ up 20 pomts followed bv Sethla Townsend of Lake with 14 and Kare Mtller of Louisville with 12. Coach Wood states, "Our girls are playmg good ball. We only have two sophomores on our teum and the frt:.~hmen are making a contribution. Our sconng ts more balanced and we are placmg four players in double flgl..re:. each game. I just can't say enough about the progress this team has made since the Christmas break. We are small compared to most col– lege teams, but we are out rebounding them and our overall shooting bas im– pro\ ed A good team plays with lots of cmollon and we are doing that now."

East Central women picked up two important South Division Games this week to improve their record to 6-5 in division play. The first victory came at Pearl River when the EC women won by a score of 73-63.
