1936 State Champs ... These ladies were members of the East Central Junior College women's state basketball championship team of 1936. They got together at the recent Homecom– ;ng activities at the Decatur school for a reunion. The ladies were reCM>gnized with a 8x10 copy original of the 1936 team picture and a plaque in the shape of the state of Mississippi. Pictured are the ladies

that were able to attend the reunion. (left to right) Edna Ruth (Adams) Hufford, Martha Jack (Burt) Griffin, Tommye (Williamson) Alfonso, Ottie Sue (Adams) Griffin, Pearl (Shoemaker) Addkison, Nellie (Herrington) Montague, Marguerite (Miller) White and Nan (Huston) Keenan. This group of ladies won ECJC's first state championship.
