Union golfer Terry Sessums is one of two Mississippi Junior College golfers competing next week, June 3-6, in the National Junior College Golf Tournament in Conroe, Texas. Sessums, along with East Central JC teammate Steve Nelson of Newton were both All-State and All– Region 23 selectees. Nelson won the State's low– scoring medalist honors and Sessums took runner-up honors to earn their spots in the event.

Sessums Selected to All-State Golf Team--Terry Sessums (r), represen– ting East Central Junior College, has recently been selected to the Mississippi Junior College All-State Golf Team. With an average season score of 77, Sessums was chosen along with George Byrd of Gulf Coast Junior College with an average of 76; James McKay of Hinds Junior College with an average of 76.8; Randy Burns of Copiah-Lincoln with an average of 77; and Ed Blurton of Hinds Junior College with an average of 77 .2.
