ECJC Tennis· Tournament Set Oct. 19

East Central Junior College will sponsor a tennis tournament in conjunc– tion with homecoming activities on Oct. 19. The tournament will be open to all interested friends of East Central. Play will begin at 9 a. m. on the East Central tennis courts. There will be two divisions for play, 35 years old and above and 35 and below. In doubles, if one partner is below 35, they must play in the below 35 bracket. Brackets will be set up by draw for men and women singles and men and women doubles. Trophies will be given in all age groups. An entry fee of $3 for singles and $5 for doubles will be assessed. Deadline for entering the tournament and paying the entry fee is Friday, Oct. 11. Lucille Wood, chairperson of the Tennis Committee will accept names and fees. E.J.C.J TENNIS TOURNAMENT--In the first annual East Central Junior College Homecoming Tennis Tournament, ECJC graduate Kerry Winstead captured top honors in the men's singles. Faculty member Raymond McMullan was first runner-up. Winstead, along with Wes Knight also won first place in men's doubles, under age 35.
