Johnson Named As ECJC Representative
with the officers are Dr. Eddie Smith, ECJC President; Dr. Brad Tucker, Dean of Instruction and Gene Davis, Dean of Students. The executive Committee will hold its Spring meeting April 30 on campus . Johnson serves as chairman of the Newton United Givers Fund and is the recipient of the Out– standing Law Enforcement Sup– port Award from the Newton County Law Enforc~ment Of– ficers Association. He serves as president of the Newton Kindergarten Association, treasurer of the Newton Jaycees, and is a member of the Newton Rotary Club. Johnson serves as a member of the Boards of Directors of Newton Athletic Booster Club Newton Chamber of Commerce'. and Newton County Recreation Club. He is a graduate of Decatur High School and also attended East Central Junior College. Johnson and wife Lynda have two children, James Harold, who is employed at La-Z-Boy South and Renee, currently a student at East Central Junior College who has recently been accepted to University of Mississippi School of Nursing. The Johnsons are members of First Baptist Church of Newton.
