Mr. Ovid Vickers, English instructor at East Central Junior College, will par– ticipate in a symposium entitled "Text and Teaching--The Search for Human Excellence", to be held at the recital hall of the Raymond campus of Hinds Junior College, October 9. Mrs. Everett Receives National Association Award

Currently, Mrs. Everett is serving a two-year terrri as president of the Mississippi Delta Kappa Gamma. She has at various times been selected as Outstanding Junior Col– lege Business Educator and has served as president of the Mississip– pi Business Education Association.

Mrs. Jessie Everett, business technology instructor at East Cen– tral Junior College and a native of the Bond community, was reported by the National Business Education Association this week to be the only state membership director in the 50 days, the Virgin Island, ~nada and Newfoundland, who has exceeded the 100 percent membership goal. The goal was set by the national association. The Mississippi Business Education Association will present a rr.onetary reward for ~ accompanishment. Mrs. Everett also received a let– ter and life membership card and certificate for Delta Pi Epsilon, na– tional honorary professional graduate fraternity in business.
