Meridian Takes Two From ECJC DECATUR - Meridian Junior College's Lady Eagles survived the loss of their top scorer and rebounder in the first half here Saturday night to edge host East Central Junior .College 73-68. Sophomore center Marilyn Davis of MJC and Joy Eichelberger of East Central were ejected with seven minutes remaining in the first half, but neither 'player was whistled for a foul. "I didn't think it was that rough," said Meridian head .coach Barbara Satcher. "I thought we played with a lot of class to come back, especially without Marilyn. Some of the girls off the bench did a good Job. Jenellie Miller did a good job and Dian (Clayton) and Lynette (Williams) did a good job of making them turn the ball over.'.' . "We were leading by 12 with nine minutes to go and they put on a fullcourt man to man press," said ECJC head coach Lucille Wood. "We couldn't han– dle it. We had to foul a lot and they made their free throws. Meridian did a good job and they hit their free throws when they had to. I'm real pleased, we're · just real a real young team."
