recovered a Gulf Coast fumble on the 24 yard line, the Bulldog defense held EC out of the 6 point range causing the Warriors to settle for another field goal. 1 The Bulldogs took over at thei own 34 yard line with 6:04 gaml time remaining. Three plays and one Warrior penalty later, Gulf Coast was inches from a first dowj with the ball spotted on the 3 yarl line. Bulldog coach George Seku bypassed the option of a field goa to tie the game and went for th first down attempt. The decisio proved to be the deciding factor a Bulldog Karl Jones went over thl left side for the winning score Adethsach added the extra point t give Gulf Coast the 10-6 victor over the East Central Warriors. The Warriors travel to Scooba tc take on the East Mississippi Lion on Thursday September 11. Gam~ time is slated for 7 p.m.
Central began to put a Warrior drive on the Bulldogs, but the threat ended when Gulf Coast's Donald McCorvey intercepted an Orlando Vaughn pass intended for Isaac Harris in the endzone. The tides turned. Gulf Coast drove from their 20 to the Warrior seven. With :36 remaining on the clock and goal to go, Bulldog Tony Johnson fumbled on the hand off. Gulf Coast retrieved the ball and with :08 showing, Bulldog Chanthvane Adethsack put Gulf Coast on top 3-0 with a 17 yard field goal. The third :quarter saw little action until the Bulldogs fumbled with 4:23 to go. EC recovered the ball and moved deep into Bulldog territory. With 1 4 5 7 game time to go, the Warriors went on the scoreboard with a Verandel Irons 21 yard field goal. East Central Junior College was defeated 10-6 as they hosted the game against GuIf Coast Junior College. ECJC's first opportunity to score arose when Kelvin Lyons intercepted a Gulf Coast pass on their own 33 yard line. The Warriors moved the ball to the 12 yard line before EC quarterback Rusty Davis was caught behind the line. This called for a 29 yard field goal attempt.
