Revenge wil when ECJC Bv Brvan Murphy The Meridian Star DECATUR - When East Cen- t r a l J u n i o r Co l l e g e a n d Mississippi Delta collide in foot- ball action Saturday night expect a little revenge factor. Last year Miss. Delta took it to ECJC in a one-sided affair,, ,. "They beat us real bad last year," Kilpatrick (A.J. ECJC football coach) said. "We are anxious to play a good ball game this time. Pratice has gone real well this week, things have really picked up." East Central stands a t 1-1 on the young season and are a definite improvement over last years 0-10 team. Last week they put to rest an 11 game losing streak with a 16-10 win over Co- Lin. Mississippi Delta played their first game of the season last week, losing 21-14 to Itawamba in the last 30 seconds. A loss that does not set well with head men- tor James Gray. "It was a very

I be factor hosts Delta dissapointing loss," Gray said. "We didn't do the things necessary to stay ahead." Their first game was canceled due to the hurricane. Gray thought the defense played a real good ball game. "They gave us field position throughout the game," Gray sur- mised. "Offensively we weren't consistent enough. " "What we need to do is regroup, start back, and put it together," Gray said. "You can't look back just ahead." Onewould think they had got blown out listening to Gray. He is wary of ECJC, he knows they a r e an improved club. "They proved last week they have a sound football team." Gray said. "Their two tailbacks do a good job a s does the quarter- back. On defense Wayne Ken- nedy has looked awesome. No doubt we'll have our hands full, especially playing in their backyard." Mississippi Delta came out the game without an injury so to speak.
