Warrior kicker, xughn Luke, put the first points I the scoreboard with a 33 yard :Id goal with 8:20 to go in the .st quarter. With less than two minutes showing on the clock, Eubank passed to wide receiver Brownlee who broke through a tackle and ran down the field for a 68 yard touchdown. Luke Vaughn made the extl point to decrease the gap, 14-10. East Central recaptured the lea with a score by Woodro Longmire. The extra point was wic to the right. Itawamba's Bell scored a 33 yal field goal with 2:09 left in the ha1 making the final score 17-16. I+ other score was made during tl night.
The East Central Junior College Warriors reported last Thursday to begin prepara- tions for their August 29 season opener at Itawamba. The EC cheerleaders were on hand to register and serve them refreshments. Meeting the players at sign-in were Stacie Therrell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Therrell, and Kim Hamil, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hamil, both of Philadelphia.
