ECJC trustee honored In a recent meeting of the East Central Junior College Board of Trustees, :Marshall Carson (center) of Conehatta was presented a praque in recognition of having the longest tenure of any current board of trustees member in junior .colleges in the state. The plaque, given by the Miss. Junibr College Trustees Association, was presented to Carson by Dr. CharlesWright, (left) President of .the college and Henry B. Hudspeth (right) of Louisville, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Carson, a graduate of the University of Mississippi, has been a member of East Central's Board of Trustees since September 1938. Born in Conehatta, he has lived there all of his life and is serving a s its postmaster, a position he held for forty-three years. Carson's wife, Anna Kate, taught .business courses a t Decatur High School until her death fourteen years ago. His son, Neal, a graduate of EC and Ole Miss, is Engineer of the city of Meridian.
