Nichols earns Doctor of Medicine degree William Kevin Nichols of Conehatta has bc;en awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was awarded this degree in a gradua– tion ceremony held in Jackson June 2, 1985 . Dr. Nichols, a _1975 graduate of Decatur High School, received his Associate of Science degree from E.C. J.C. in 1977 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Miss. State University in 1980. He will begin his residency in the field of Family Prac– tice July · l, 1985 · at the University Medical ~nter in Jackson. Dr. Nichols is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billie G. Nichols of Conehatta. He is married to the former Sherry Terrell of Union. They have two children, Lori and Andrew.

Valedictorian Valedictorian of Scott Central High School graduating class of 1985 is John Wesley Hardin. Hardin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hardin of Forest. During his senior year he served as a student body president and president of FFA. Hardin has been awarded an $800 scholarship to East Central Junior College.
