ECJC BEAUTY PAGEANT--East Central Junior College's Huff Auditorium was the setting of ECJC's Beauty Pageant to the theme of "Putting on the Ritz" . Twenty four young ladies vied for the title of Most Beautiful. They were escorted by twenty-four young men competing for Most Hand– some . The ladies modeled sportswear and evening wear. The men escorted the ladies in evening wear. Five beauties and . beaus were selected as well as Most Beautiful and Most Handsome. Receiving top honors were Miss Ashlie Chipley (front, 3rd from I) , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob– by Chipley of Carthage - Most Beautiful; Jim McElhenney (front, 4th from I), son of Mrs. James and the Late James McElhenney of Union .
