Three Christian Academy Seniors Win Scholars-hifls

David Hinkle, salutatorian of the 1984 graduating class of Carthage Christian Academy was the recipient of several awards. One ·of them was a scholarship from East Cen– tral Junior College. He was also given the High School English Award for 1984 and was elected Mr. Carthage Christian Academy. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob– by Hinkle.

Three graduates of Car– thage Christian Academy have been awarded honors and scholarships based on their academic records. Jimmy "Mac" McMurry, a 1984 honor graduate of Car– thage Christian Academy was the recipient of several awards. One of them was a scholarship from East Cen– tral Junior College. Mac was also chosen for a $1,000.00 scholarships award from Carthage Corporation. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim– my McMurry. Teresa King, valedictorian of the 1984 graduating class of Carthage Christian Academy received several scholarship awards. One of them was a scholarship to East Central Junior College. Teresa is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Harvey King of Thomastown.
