"For 21 games we've shot 98 percent from the field and 69 percent from the free throw line," said the Warrior coach. "I'll say this. usually a team that shoots 50 percent from the field will win 75 percent of the time. That's according to statistics. "Turnovers have hurt us worse than anything else." he continued. "We're averaging 28 turnovers a game. You shouldn't have more than 15 turnovers a game. If you turn it over more than that you usually get beat." Since the semester break the scoring load has fallen upon guard George Gray of Lake, who is averaging 15.1 points a game, and forward David Little of Leake Academy, who scores an average of 14.6 points and 11.7 rebounds. Other starters include center Felix Johnson of Tullulah, La:. forward Ricky Stewart of Mobile and forward Roy Myers of Morton. Johnson is averaging 9.9 points a game. while Stewart's average is 9.4 and Myers' 8.9. "I think every athlete we have has given a good effort." said Robinson "And I think we're capable of beqting anybody in it. Co-Lin just beat us 82-80 the last time we played. We've lost a lot of close games." Robinson is thankful of one thing during the slump. support. "I think our student body has backed us real well since Christmas," he said.
