The Waiiiorettes captured their second state lampio~ship in the last four years with a 79-71 verthe win over Northwest. Esther Thomas with z6 points and Bobbie Collier with 24 provided the bulk of the offense. Carla Halley added 14 to insure the victory. Perhaps more impressive was the Warriorettes -7-85 semifinal win over the second ranked team in the country, Coahoma. Thomas again led the scoring with 24. Charlene Jones hit for 22, Bobbie Collier added 16 and Joyce Watkins scored 11. Since 1966, Coach Lucille Wood has a record of 137 and 60, good for a winning percentage of 70%. In their next action, the Warriorettes wil try to :tend their nine game winning streak as they present Mississippi in the Region 7 tournev in arriman, Tennessee. __
