ECJC Men stop utrca DECATUR -The East Central Junior CollegeWarriors never trailed heresThursdaynight en route to a 77-41 South Division basketball victory. . Ken Gilliland scored 17points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead theWarriors. Teammate Ken Eiland also chipped in 17points for the winners,, followed by Mike Shirley's 15. . Eddie Grlffin and Joe Kennamer scored 10 points apiece for East Central. which upped its division record to 2-9 and overall mark to 4-15. The Lad Warriors of East Central fell to Utica, 79-78. Jo Ann Jarnest and StephanieTownsend paced the LadyWar- riors with 19 points apiece. Pam Coleman added 18 points and Sheila Welch scored 14 for the losers.

East Central traveled to Pearl River Jr. College on Feb. 5, where both t e ams we r e de f e a t ed . The Warriorettes lost 54-77. while the Warriors were defeated 93-100. McBeath and Cox were highest scorers. George Gray, a sophomore from Lake, broke his finger in second half of play at the Pearl River game. Gray will not be able to finish the season.

The Warriors lost 52-94. Debbie McBeath of Union was highest scorer for the Warriorettes with 24 points. Aubrey Cox of Carthage was highest scorer for the Warriors with 22 ~ o i n t s .
