Miss Wood has been coaching 24 years at ECJC, and her overall record this year of 19-7 indicative of how her past years have been. Last Wednesday night, East Central Junior College defeated nationally ranked Coahoma in the opening round of the Junior College

state tournament by 87-85. The Warriorettes were led by Ester Thomas with 24, while Charlene Jones added 22; Bobbie Collier and Joyce Watkins had 11 each. Thomas and Collier had 50 pts. between them in Thursday night's action. Miss Wood and he r Laoy Warriors are now bound for the Region VII tournament in Tenn. -
