DECATUR - The East Centrgl Junior College War- riors and Warriorettes will return with second semester action on Tuesday, Jan. 8 when they travel to Perkin- ston to play Gulf Coast Jun- ior College. They will play Jones County Junior College in Ellisville on Thursday, Jan. 10 and return to their home courts on Saturday, Jan. 12 to host Southwest Mississippi Junior College. Game time is 6:30 p.m. for the women's game and the men's game immediately following. The Warriorettes, coached by Lucille Wood, has had a good season the first semes- ter with an overall record of 8 wins and 3 losses. They are the only undefeated wo- men's team in the South Division with 4 wins and no losses. Esther Thomas, a 5'2" sophomore from Louis- ville High School is the se- cond leading scorer with an average of 16.6 points per game. The Warriors have scored an average of 72.1 points per game and held their oppen- ants to a 63.6 points per game average. The Warriors coached by Herman Robinson hold a overall record of 8 wins and 3 losses and a South Division record of 2 wins and 2 losses. Kenneth Gilliland, a 6'8" freshman from Winston Academy has a 10.2 point verage. The Warriors and War. riorettes have five home games remaining.
