EC Warriorettes get 1 st loss against Co=-lin JC

The East Central Junior College Warriorettes drop- ped their undefeated South Division rating to a 6-1 rating when Copiah-Lincoln Junior College visited on January 18. The Lady Wolves defeat- ed the Warriorettes 82-68. The Warriors were also defeated, 82-59. Jo Ann Earnest .of Forest was the high scorer for the1 Warriorettes with 17 points ' followed by Stephanie Tow- send of Lena with 14, and Pam Coleman of Carthage with 10. Joe Kennamer of New Hope, Ala. was the only double digit scorer for the Warriors with 23 points. The Warriorettes and Warriors traveled to Ray-

mond on January 21 where both teams were defeated by the Hinds Eagles. The War- riorettes lost, 78-71. The Warriors lost 87-75. Earnest was the high scorer for the Warriorettes with 27, followed by Coleman with 14. Townsend and Mat- tie Bumside of Noxapater had 10 each. Kenneth Gilli- land of Louisville was the high scorer for the Warriors with 26 points. Kennamer followed with 23 and Mike Shirley of Morton netted 14. The next home games for East Central will be January 28 with Utica Junior College and February 4 with Pearl River Junior College. Game time is 6:30.
