The East Central Junior ~o l l e g eWarriors and Warriorettes were defeated by the Gulf Coast Junior College Bulldogs on January 23 at Perkinston. The Warriorettes took their third South Division lost in a row with a score of 78-65. The Warriors were defeated 83-61. Jo Ann Earnest of Forest netted 31 points for the Warriorettes; Shelia Welch of Decatur followed with 10. Mike Shirley of Morton made 25 points and Joe Kennamer of New Hope, AL made 18 points for the Warriors. The Warrior teams hosted Hinds Junior College on January 25. The Warriorettes defeated the Lady Eagles 84-76. The Warriors were defeated 83-61. Four Warriorettes , scored double digits. Earnest led with 26 followed by Welch with 20, 1 Stephanie Towsend of Lena with 1 10, and Mattie Burnside of Noxapater with 12. Eddie Griffin of Walnut Grove was the highest scorer for the Warriors with 21 points. He was followed by Ken Gilliland of Louisville with 19, Robert Gilliland of Louisville with 17, and' Mike Shirley of Morton with 10. The Warrior teams hosted Utica Junior College on January 28. The Warriorettes lost in the last 10 seconds, 79-78. Earnest and Townsend scored 19 points each. Coleman scored 18, s '"'elch scored 14. The fired up Warrxor me11

defeated the Utica men 77-72. Ken Eiland and Ken Gilliland of Louisville were the highest scorers for the Warriors with 17 points each. Shirley followed with 15.' Kennamer and Griffin had 10 each. The next home games for the Warrior teams will be February 4 with Pearl River Junior College. This will be the last home game for the women. The last home game for the men is February 11 with
