ECJC Presents 'SoundOf M uric' 1 The "Sound of Music", the great musical by Rodgers and Hammer- stein will be presented by East Central Junior College the week of March 13-17 in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the campus of East Central in Decatur. Principal characters from Newton dounty are Janice Brock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Brock of Neivton, who will portray Maria; and Joe Vance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marzene Vance of Lake, o will portray Captain Von trap^ Featured in supporting roles are Ada Boggan, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Austin Boggan of Decatur, who is cast as Sister Margaritta; and Shannon Cleveland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe H. Cleveland of Union, who is cast as Sister Berthe. Appearing as Von Trapp's children will by Julie Goodwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Goodwin of Newton as Liesl; Senita Dearing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Dearing of Union, as Louisa; Steve Deaton, son bf Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Deaton of Decatur, as Kurt; Alica Pouncey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 1 Ken Pouncey of Decatur, as Brigitta; Amy Pouncey, also the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Pouncey of Decatur, as Marta; and Sherry McMullan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McMullan of Decatur. Regina Gibbs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Gibbs of Newton, will portray Elsa, the rich socialite; Lynda Gale Goss, daugh- ter of ME. and Mrs. J.B.
